BRIAN
"Boss and Backbone" of the operation. Brian is faced against multiple river rafting companies competing for tourist dollars. His decisions on which guides are ready and what part of the river is safe, keeps his paying customers alive and his small business afloat. Often looked upon as the bad guy, Brian ultimately decides who will make money for the day, and who will go home penniless. In a business with a high turnover rate, this often leads to river guides quitting to work for another rafting company. One of Brian's biggest burdens is constantly monitoring vehicles and equipment that is older than himself. If his company doesn't maintain the minimum safety requirements, the Forest Service will pull his permits and shut his business down for the season.
DIRK
One of Brians most trusted Veteran Guides, Dirk can only be describe as a hardcore partying hippy. Dirk got his nickname from the fellow river guides when he decided to go skinny dipping in the local hot springs. His motto is "Paddle Hard, Party Harder." With little skill to do anything else in this world, Dirk has found himself living in a trailer behind the rafting company. Dirk prides himself on not having a care in the world, and he runs his boat the same way.
TEX
"Mr. Badass," the one who is proud to call himself a redneck. Raised as a good ol' boy, Tex will never back down from a challenge, and is not afraid to share his opinion. Tex makes his living off the river. He drifts from rafting company to rafting company, much like a cowboy drifts from saloon to saloon. He has traveled all over the world, guiding some of the most dangerous rivers. He will be the first to tell you that nothing compares to the Kern. He has no tolerance for stupidity, so if you get in his boat, you better be prepared to give it your all or get thrown out!
CLUTCH
"Mr. Showoff," is one cocky son of a bitch. The way he acts, you would think he invented every extreme sport out there. He loves talking trash, and making people feel stupid. He treats every trip, and looks at every river guide as competition. Someone with something to prove, he wants to be looked upon as the biggest and baddest river guide out there. Sometimes his customers are the ones who pay for his arrogance.
WAYNE
"The Old Biker" that doesn't put up with anything, especially these youngster. Wayne has seen it all, and done it all. The way he acts you would think he is the boss of the company. Regardless who comes and goes, he outlasts them all. With more stories and experiences than you can shake a stick at, he knows how things are supposed to be runned, most important he knows how to get things done. Working as long as he has, Wayne believes he has earned the right to be grumpy.
TROY
"Old Man River" himself, a true country boy who has been going down the Kern River in the innertubes of car tires, way before any river rafting companies ever thought of opening up in the area. Troy now finds himself as Brians general mechanic, repairing the vehicles that keep the business afloat on land. With buses from the 60's and 70's, that is no easy task. Most of the time, Troy find himself driving all over kingdom come searching for parts that are non-exhistant. The majority of time he just creates the replacement parts himself in the companies backyard.
